An Introduction to Grief and Loss Awareness

An introductory course ideal for a vast range of organisations who wish to upskill their team in understanding more about bereavement and its effects.

An Introduction to Grief and Loss Awareness – course content: 

  • Interactive discussions about the grieving process and looking at models that enhance individuals’ understanding of grief and bereavement
  • Develop awareness of the impact of loss and bereavement on individuals which guide how we communicate with bereaved people
  • Consider our own understanding of grief and loss, and explore how we can support others following bereavement, which are relevant to our roles and organisation
  • Create awareness of how and when to refer or signpost individuals for relevant support, within the boundaries of our roles.

This course can be delivered through video conferencing for up to 12 participants per session.

 

All courses are delivered by one of our Training Team, who are professional trainers specialising in mental health, bereavement and trauma.
