Introduction to Grief and Loss

An introductory course ideal for a range of organisations who wish to upskill their team in understanding more about grief, bereavement and loss.

An Introduction to Grief and Loss Awareness – course content: 

  • Develop awareness of the impact of loss and grief on individuals
  • Gain confidence in communicating with compassion to those who are grieving
  • Participate in discussions about the grief process and models that enhance individuals’ understanding of grief in these Covid-19 times
  • Consider our own understanding of grief and loss, and explore how we can support others in our roles, whilst recognising our own wellbeing needs
  • Create awareness of how and when to refer or signpost individuals for relevant support, within the boundaries of our roles.

This is a generic introductory course, suitable across agencies, organisations and workforces. It is delivered through video conferencing for up to 12 participants per session.

 

All courses are delivered by one of our Training Team, who are professional trainers specialising in mental health, bereavement and trauma.

Duration:

2.5 hours online session and full day in person training.

Cost:

Third Sector

  • £600 for an online session, up to 12 attendees.
  • £800 for in-person training.

Public & Private Sector

  • £1,000 for an online session, up to 12 attendees.
  • £1,200 for in-person training.
