Experience the thrill of abseiling 100ft from one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks - the world famous Falkirk Wheel!
March 21, 2026
We are delighted to have secured a few places at this really popular event and by taking part, you will provide vital support - and offer hope - to children, young people and adults who are struggling to cope following the death of a loved one.
Imagine slowly lowering 100ft down the world's only rotating boat lift, recognised as a marvel of engineering across the world. The Falkirk Wheel connects the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal in a half-turn that takes only five minutes - and now is your chance to experience it in a different kind of way!
The abseil will take place in the morning of 21 March 2026 - exact time slot will be confirmed later this year.
No experience necessary - expert guidance will be provided throughout.
Please note: the minimum age for this event is 11 years old old, you must be at least 140cm tall, and you must not weigh any more than 18 stone.
As we anticipate high interest for the handful of places we have, we are welcoming you to register your interest with a short and simple application. If successful you will pay a £20 entry fee and raise funds for Cruse Scotland through sponsorship.
All you have to do is send us an email with the information below by noon on Monday 10 November.
Pop your answers to the above to fundraising@crusescotland.org.uk and if successful we'll get back to you the week of the closing date.
Thank you so much for you interest in the Cruse Scotland abseil places - and good luck!
