We're excited to be recruiting a Communications and Marketing Manager for Cruse Scotland. This is a key role within our organisation which offers the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact. Your work will be central to telling our story and growing our reach across Scotland
Hours: 25 hours per week over either 4 or 5 days
Salary: £28,000 per annum full-time salary plus 6% contribution to pension
(pro rata salary for 28 hours per week, £22,400 per annum)
About You
This is a fantastic opportunity for a communications and marketing professional who’s ready to lead with creativity, passion and purpose
As our sole dedicated communications and marketing team member, you'll bring stories to life and craft impactful messaging across a variety of platforms – including social media, website and bulletins
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation who are working in client services, volunteer management, fundraising and business development –ensuring our communications are aligned, engaging, and effective
You’ll be:
• A confident communicator and creative thinker
• Highly organised, with great IT skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing your own workload and juggling priorities
• Passionate about using digital platforms and media in fresh and innovative ways.
Above all, you'll be someone who’s excited by the opportunity to shape and lead the communications function in a values driven organisation
About Cruse Scotland
We are Scotland’s leading bereavement charity, providing bereavement support to anyone in Scotland who needs us. Bereavement is often one of the toughest experiences that people will face in their lifetime and for some it can be truly debilitating and completely overwhelming. The range of support we offer includes our helpline, instant web-based support, individual and group counselling support, children and young people’s services, training to workplaces and more. The most remarkable thing about Cruse Scotland is the fact that our client services are delivered purely by a volunteer workforce - who are all trained to professional standards. It’s fair to say that their motivation and commitment is contagious, and as such, we value their contributions highly
Our volunteer workforce of 250 people are located in communities across Scotland, and are supported by a small but mighty staff team of 23, the majority of whom are employed part time. The staff team comprise a mix of roles and talents and share a similar passion for the work of Cruse Scotland. The staff team connects fortnightly to ensure a real sense of community and good relationships across the team
