Fiona Arnott-Barron

Chief Executive Officer

Fiona became Chief Executive of Cruse Scotland in August 2022,  previously working as Chief Operating Officer for the charity.   She has served with Cruse Scotland for more than 20 years.

She is passionate about improving and adapting services for bereaved people to enable them to have choices in the support options which work best for them.   She is influenced by her work history in client services and is eager to utilise these insights to shape future services to a wider range of people in a wider range of ways.  Given her background in the sector, Fiona is also driven to provide best the possible support and development opportunities for the Cruse Scotland volunteer workforce.   The dedication and commitment of the volunteers, in what can often be life changing work with clients, inspires her to ensure Cruse Scotland volunteers are supported to a very high standard.

Her new role, combined with the launch of the new five year strategy, provides a very exciting opportunity to bring Cruse Scotland into a new phase of growth and development.

Prior to joining Cruse Scotland, Fiona was employed with the NHS, working in the Tayside Area Clinical Psychology Department for 11 years.

Away from work, Fiona enjoys family life with her husband and children and several rescue dogs
