Hazel Brown

Hazel is the Chief Executive of Cornerstone, one of Scotlands largest Third Sector social care organisation. Originally starting work as a front line carer she later qualified as a mental health nurse and gained a post graduate degree in community care from the University of Glasgow. She’s spent her career working in health and social care in the statutory and private sectors but has spent the last 20 years in the third sector which she feels most reflects her own values. She brings expertise in governance, change management, leadership and turnaround skills. 

Hazel is passionate about the work of Cruse Scotland having used their services herself during times of loss in her life. She has two grown up daughters, a recently arrived granddaughter and lives with her dog Ruby on the west coast of Scotland.
