Matthew became a counsellor/psychotherapist after many years in organisational and leadership development, having come to realise that achieving what we want from life is closely related to how we feel about ourselves. His training and experience have introduced him to a range of theoretical approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, transactional analysis and existential therapy.
Matthew chairs Cruse Scotland’s Practice, Governance & Training Committee. He currently works in private practice as a supervisor and therapist, and as Associate Director of the PF Counselling Service, where is he also a Trustee.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, he had been an independent facilitator and coach for over 30 years, working with individuals and teams in major commercial, public and non-profit organisations.
