Better understanding of Grief and Loss

An introductory course ideal for a range of organisations who wish to upskill their team in understanding more about the types of grief, bereavement and loss they may come into contact with through their roles.

Course content:

  • Increase your awareness of the impact of loss and grief on colleagues, individuals and those around us
  • Build confidence in communicating with compassion to those who are grieving, particularly following bereavement
  • Participate in discussions about grief, its purpose, process and models that help us explore individuals’ understanding of grief, including the residual impact of the pandemic
  • Consider our own understanding of grief and loss, and explore how we can support others in our roles, whilst recognising our own wellbeing needs
  • Create awareness of how and when to refer or signpost individuals for relevant support, within the boundaries of our roles

This is an introductory course that is suitable for all agencies, organisations and workforces.
