Recruitment is open for our Children and Young People Bereavement Supporter role. Join our team of volunteers and help us in our mission to be there for families across Scotland struggling with grief.
Apply to join our team of incredible volunteer supporters with our Children and Young People Bereavement service across Scotland.
We urgently need to train more supporters - across all areas of Scotland - to meet the increasing demand on this vital service. Will you help us to offer support - and give hope - to families who are struggling with the death of someone close?
Did you know that you don't need to be a counsellor to apply for this training? The course is open to those who have experience of working with children and young people, and/or interest in furthering skills in working with bereaved children and young people.
The overall aim of this course is to provide trainees with a supportive context in which they can develop those theoretical, conceptual, and practical skills and insights, which will enable them to become highly competent supporters of bereaved children and young people and their families/carers.
You will receive full training and course is delivered over weekends, 10am - 4pm over Zoom. Dates will be confirmed here shortly.
Please note: This course is not accredited by an external body.
