Pregnancy and Baby Loss Awareness

This course is an introduction for those keen to better support colleagues who have experienced a pregnancy or baby loss.

Course content:

Learning more about, and developing your understanding of;

  • the different types of pregnancy and baby loss that a colleague may experience
  • some of the unique factors around pregnancy and baby loss that are different from other bereavements
  • how pregnancy and baby loss impacts the workplace
  • common challenges and fears experienced by bereaved parents in the workplace
    • policies and procedures
    • statutory / compassionate / sickness leave
    • returning to work
  • how you can better help support a colleague who has experienced pregnancy or baby loss
    • worried about what to say - keys for compassionate conversations
    • planning ahead – support beyond the initial return to work
  • boundaries and looking after yourself
  • resources, support and signposting available

This introductory course is suitable for colleagues and those with line management responsibilities.

All courses are delivered by one of our Training Team, who are professional trainers specialising in mental health, bereavement and trauma.

Grief health warning: The content of this course discusses the experience of grief – participants who identify as actively grieving following a bereavement in the last six months are asked to consider their wellbeing needs before attending.

 

Duration:

Online learning through video conferencing offers a time focused session of 2.5 hours, or we can provide an in-person session which explores themes and content in more depth over a day in your workplace..

Pricing:

Each course, whether online or in person, is priced for up to 12 delegates attending.
