Mia Zielinski

Mia is a Clinical Fellow in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh. She is a qualified therapist and supervisor who has worked in private practice and in charitable organisations providing support to individuals, couples, and groups. Her background spans military service, criminal defense, and child protection.

Mia’s therapeutic specialisms include working with people who are bereaved, bereaved by suicide, and people who experience suicidal thoughts. She has experience of grief and caring for a child with a disability, areas of research explored in her PhD. The services Cruse Scotland provide are close to Mia’s heart and she’s passionate about supporting the charity with her skills in practice, training, and research.

Mia lives in Edinburgh with her partner and three cats. When she can, she gets to the sea where she feels most at ease.
