One-to-one counselling is provided a minimum of six months after bereavement, although it is not unusual for help to be sought many years after the death has occurred.
One-to-one counselling is offered throughout Scotland. It can be delivered face-to-face in a local meeting room, via the phone or via video conferencing.
Our therapeutic volunteers are trained in understanding the process of grieving and how to work with bereaved people. We also have specialists who are trained to work with bereaved parents or those who have been bereaved through suicide or other sudden and traumatic loss.
Clients undertake an initial assessment to explore their experience of grief and assess their support needs to work out the right support for their situation.
The first step in getting help is to call our National Bereavement Helpline or to email us: support@crusescotland.org.uk
