Current Volunteer Opportunities

Cruse Scotland deeply values the exceptional dedication and compassion of its volunteers, who are integral to delivering bereavement support services across the nation. Their unwavering commitment ensures that individuals and families navigating grief receive the care and understanding they need.

The organisation offers a variety of volunteer roles to suit different skills and interests:

  • Helpline Volunteers: Serve as the first point of contact for those seeking support, providing a listening ear and guidance. Full training is provided, and volunteers can work remotely.
  • Bereavement Counsellors: Provide counselling services to adults, either face-to-face, by telephone, or via video conferencing. Qualified counsellors with a recognised Diploma in Counselling are encouraged to apply.
  • Children and Young People Supporters: Work directly with young individuals or families, requiring prior experience and completion of a specialist module in supporting bereaved children and young people.
  • Ambassadors: An ideal role for individuals who are enthusiastic about promoting Cruse Scotland's services within their local communities.

If you're interested in making a meaningful impact, consider joining Cruse Scotland's volunteer team. Opportunities are available for individuals with varying backgrounds and time commitments. For more information and how to apply see opportunities below.
